Hello,
Just downloaded and install VirtualBox today 4.3.2 r90405 on Windows 7 running on HP ElieteBook with 4GB RAM
Trying to use bridged network
When I attempt to boot my newly created VM I get the following:
Failed to open/create the internal network
'HostInterfaceNetworking-
Intel(R) 82577LM Gigabit Network Connection'
(VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND)
Failed to attach the network LUN
(VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND);
Details
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: Console
Interface: IConsole
{8ab7c520-2442-4b66-8d74-4ff1e195d2b6}
Any ideas on this?
Failed to open/create the internal network
Re: Failed to open/create the internal network
***** NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM YET *****
SO I've been able to follow some bread crumbs here and there and here are links I've read in detail and attempted all steps.
(had to remove all the *VIRTUALBOX* URLS because not been a member for over a day..unbelievable...SMH)
It seems like it comes down to the network adapters and related drivers required for VB not getting installed.
- I've disabled the signer driving
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\MaxNumFilters has been set to 32
- I followed the SOLUTION: posted by phearce » 7. Jan 2013, 03:28 in forums dot virtualbox dot org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=41437&p=186506&hilit=insufficient+system+resources+exist+to+complete#p186506
and still VBOX did not install the network adapters - None show up when hidden devices are turned on, nor are any host only adapters showing up in the Vbox interface.
When I attempt to manually add a host only network adapter i see a quick small window flash on my screen - no way to stop it...too fast. Then I get a message that says
Failed to create the host network interface
Details \/
Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
While I'll plan on continuing to figure this out, I must say it's frustrating to see that this seems to be a bug *ALL OVER* this forum and none of the conversations or bugs seems to have a *TRUE* resolution. Windows 7 and driver signing have been around for ever, these things shouldn't be causing install problems and if they do they should be resolvable fairly easily by a company as big as Oracle. IMO kind of stuff makes a case for a more stable platform like VmWare. Pretty Frustrating.
