The setup is Windows 7 host running VBox 4.3.2 with Linux guest. The issue started with an uncommanded Windows restart after updates. It happened overnight and the guest was running at the time.
The Windows machine was sitting at the login prompt in the morning. After login, VBox was started but the guest showed Inaccessible.
Right clicking on the guest and choosing Remove does nothing. Deleted the guest folder from user's home to no avail. Uninstalled VBox and edited registry to remove VBox entries. Reinstalled VBox but shows guest still there and Inaccessible. New guest was installed and runs with no issues.
How do I remove the Inaccessible guest from the left column?
Thanks in advance
Rick.
Solved: Found VirtualBox.xml file in user ./VirtualBox and edited out entry for Inaccessible guest.
