I have an old Pentium-D system running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I used disk2vhd to create a VHD file. I installed Virtualbox 4.3.0 r89960 on a Core-i7 system running Windows 7 professional 64-bit. I created a virtual machine and attached the VHD file. When I try to start the machine, it gets far enough to show the swirl of colored boxes and then I get a BSOD. I've attached the BSOD image and a log file. I've tried rebooting into Safe Mode and also Safe Mode with Command Prompt. The BSOD still happens.

I did some more digging and found someone else with almost the same problem who solved it by moving the virtual disk from the SATA controller to the IDE controller. I did the same and now my VM boots just fine.
