Install Guest Additions on Mavericks guest?

Hello there,

for testing purposes, I successfully installed OS X Mavericks as guest on VB 4.3.0. However, it seems there is no straightforward way to install the Guest Additions, as there's no proper OS X version of the installer.

What is the proper way to install them? Both host and guests are OS X.

There are no Guest Additions for OS X guests.

Unfortunately, this is true. There are no OSX guest additions (not that I miss them that much...).

Well at least they allowed for proper screen resolution and USB devices interaction. I can't install iPhoto and test the new version, for example, because the video card isn't recognized as compatible.

No solutions?

Forget virtualizing OS X. Install Mavericks on an external drive and boot from that.

Well I don't want to waste time booting and rebooting to a functional OS, hence virtualization. This is just for testing, and I won't do that all day long.

There's no way you're going to get iPhoto to run in a VirtualBox OS X guest considering that it's checking for specific capabilities in the video card and VB presents a generic video card without those capabilities to the VM. Your post said "testing", hence my advice to run it natively from an external hard drive if you want to test iPhoto.
