Wifi on win 7 host and wired on win xp guest

Post by Gilded »

The title pretty much says it all. I'm trying to use my wired connection (one network) for my guest and a wireless connection (a different network) for the host. Is there any way this can be achieved?

The problem I have is that my host always chooses to use the wired connection.

Use "bridged networking" to bridge the VM to the NIC of your choice. If you turn off the host TCP/IP service on that NIC then the host can't use it, but the guest has its own protocol stack.
