Debian 7.2.0-amd64 installation on VirtualBox-4.2.18-88781

Post by zyma »

I am trying to install Debian 7.2.0-amd64 on VirtualBox-4.2.18-88781 (my OS is Windows 7 on which VM is running) but VM screen just freezes and is not responding after i select any type of installation. If you have any ideas how to solve that it would be very helpful.

Post the guests log file (as an attachment)
See Online Users Manual for the location of the file.

Actually no it isn't but the following was in the SVC log and should give you the necessary information to fix the problem.

Code: Select all

Medium::Task ERROR [COM]: aRC=VBOX_E_FILE_ERROR (0x80bb0004) aIID={29989373-b111-4654-8493-2e1176cba890} aComponent={Medium} aText={Could not create the medium storage unit 'C:\Users\zyma\VirtualBox VMs\back_track\back_track.vdi'.
00:00:32.744000 Medium::Task VDI: disk would overflow creating image 'C:\Users\zyma\VirtualBox VMs\back_track\back_track.vdi' (VERR_DISK_FULL)}, preserve=false

i hope its the file needed, since i cant solve the problem as i understand there is not enough disc space but i made it to save VM images to other disc on which there are plenty of disc space.

Code: Select all

00:00:01.783398 HWACCM: No VT-x or AMD-V CPU extension found. Reason VERR_SVM_DISABLED
It would also help if you enable hardware virtualization in the hosts bios.
