I'm having what sounds like the same problem as reported in this thread, except I'm running Windows 7 on both the host and the remote PC that I'm using to VNC into it (running Linux Mint on the guest). I see the same symptoms as oriolan - xev shows that when I press the backspace key, for instance, the guest doesn't receive any events.
I don't think I can use his solution as it seems to involve loading some custom layout on the remote Linux host, and I'm not sure how to proceed. And without backspace (which isn't the only key that doesn't work, but does seem like the most important one), it's very hard to do anything in the Linux guest!
I'm running Windows 7 x64 w/ SP1 on both host PCs, running 64-bit Linux Mint 15 on the guest, and I'm VNCing into the local host PC using tightVNC. Oh, and both host PCs are using the US International keyboard layout. Any help would be much appreciated!
Problems using keyboard on guest when VNCing into host
