Hello all
I am just wondering, do isos have to be installed to virtual box, or is it possible for me to jsut open an iso I hav stored on my external hard drive via virtual box? The reason I ask is that I have very limited memory on my computer, and I someone showed me (someone who I will unfortuanately will never see again) that he had several OS versions saved on his external hard drive and he was booting into them from his virtual box.
Just wondering,
Thanks,
Dan

Hi
If I am understanding your question correctly you are asking if an ISO image can be stored on an external drive, yes you can store them on a different drive as once you have installed the operating system you will no longer need to boot from it.
If you are asking about the VDI (Virtual Disk Image) then yes that can also be placed on a different drive.
