HowTo change size of a fixed VDI?

Hello!

A great problem: I have a Virtualbox 4.3.0 on a "Windows 7"-host, running a guest "Lubuntu 13.10". Now my VDI is full - I created a VDI-file with fixed size (idiotic ;-) )

Can I and how can I resize this VDI???

VBOXMANAGE doesn't recognize the command with an error message:

C:\Windows\system32>C:\Progra~1\Oracle\VirtualBox\vboxmanage modifyhd "D:\Virtua~1\MiHa_LinuX\MiHa_LinuX.vdi" --resize 16384

VBoxManage.exe: error: Cannot register the hard disk 'D:\Virtua~1\MiHa_LinuX\MiHa_LinuX.vdi' {cd2dcde7-847f-44a7-85b0-af6ea07282c4} because a hard disk 'D:\VirtualBox VMs\MiHa_LinuX\MiHa_LinuX.vdi' with UUID {cd2dcde7-847f-44a7-85b0-af6ea07282c4} already exists
VBoxManage.exe: error: Details: code E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057), component VirtualBox, interface IVirtualBox, callee IUnknown
VBoxManage.exe: error: Context: "OpenMedium(Bstr(pszFilenameOrUuid).raw(), enmDevType, enmAccessMode, fForceNewUuidOnOpen, pMedium.asOutParam())" at line 178 of file VBoxManageDisk.cpp

What can I do?

Check out the CloneVDI sticky at the top of this forum. Do read the release notes that come with it, since I will ignore any questions if the release notes answer them.
