Win 2008 Guest Hangs After Inactivity

8 G RAM
VBox 4.2.18
Guest-
Win 2008 64 Bit
1 CPU
2 G ram
Guest runs fine but after a period of inactivity (20 minutes), when returning to an open app, there is a long delay 20-50 seconds before a response. After a single period of inactivity this can happen at multiple different points in open applications not just after the first return access.
Any help appreciated!
