Installing OX X 10.8 on VB 4.2.18

Post by LenCom »

Hello, a newbie here and using VM. I have done some preliminary search and could not find the answer... I am installing OS X image of Mountain Lion 10.8. I am running fine until the installation is almost complete and it asks me to restart my computer to complete the installation. I have no idea how to do this? I tried the reset command on virtualbox and of course that was an epic fail. So close... any help would be greatly appreciated.

i've just been picking close from the machine column in the virtualbox menu and then telling it to power off the machine.

What would you do if this were an actual PC? Remove the install media from the CD?

Good point, I will try. I also tried ACPI Shutdown but it won't do it either form within the virtual or from the GUI shell of VB

PerryG thanks for jogging my old memory, that did it! Here's what i did: remove virtual media, switch to D the installation partition, reset and restart.
