Using Mac OSX 10.6.8 Macbook Pro. Trying to create VM for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Hangs after prompting "Restart computer....."

What happends if you force stop the VM and start it manually again?

I just read about a possible solution in a different forum. Once you've installed the OS, but prior to restarting the virtual machine, eject the installation ISO from the virtual drive. Then, restart. Other people have reported success with that.
