Autoscaling gives unexpected results.

Post by ThaMe90 »

I just updated VirtualBox to the 4.3.0 release and after the update autoscaling seizes to function.

I have several different guests running on my Windows 7 64bit Professional host. I have 2 displays connected to my PC and have set 1 VM to use both displays.
To avoid having to manually set the resolution every time, I enabled autoscaling a while back. However, after the update, whenever I try to maximize a screen in any VM, it pops to my main host display at a different resolution (this applies to both the main and secondary display).

If I disable autoscaling maximizing a VM screen works, and it stays in place on the display I maximized it on, but it has the wrong resolution.

I've been able to somewhat circumvent the issue by maximizing a screen with autoscaling on, then disabling the autoscaling option, and the maximizing the screen again.

Is there any news regarding this issue?

I read about something similar in bugtracker and there is a fix for guests moving to the primary screen when entering full screen mode in 4.3.2 or the next maintenance release.
