Hi. I am running Windows XP Pro X32 SP3, fully updated. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual, CP 6000+ 3.01GHz, 4 Gigs Ram, NVidia GeforceI 6800 GS, using 2 monitors in span mode and custom resolution for each.
I used Disk2vhd.exe from Sysinternal to capture a VHD of my Host Computer. I created 1 VHD with "Prepare for use with Virtual PC" checked and 1 with out. Virtualbox was not installed at the time of capture. I know this programs works, for I have successfully created a VHD of the Host (different system than the one I described above) and ran it in Virtualbox on the same Host it was created from.
I tried running both VHD's on the same host they were created from, and these are the results:
1) VHD created without "Prepare for use with Virtual PC"- Boot, no WinXP boot logo, larger window forms, completely black, mouse disappears upon
clicking in windows, nothing happens.
2) VHD created with "Prepare for use with Virtual PC"- Boot, WinXP boot logo present, larger window forms, completely black, mouse disappears upon
clicking in windows, nothing happens.
VirtualBox 4.2.18-88781 and VirtualBox Extension Pack 4.2.18-88780 are installed on the Host computer. Anyone know what I am doing wrong???
