Hi Friends, newbie here.
I bought an AMD A8 5500 HP desktop with 8G RAM for a VM test box. I am running Windows 8.1.
I installed Virtualbox 4.3.0 r89960. I downloaded Oracle VMManager3.2.4 and Oracle VMServer3.2.4 VM templates for virtualbox. The VMManager works "as advertised," showing kernel startup details, asking for IP addresses, etc., then goes to the Linux Desktop as expected. However, the VMServer crashes no matter what settings I try. I believe I have tried all configurable settings in the bios and in the VMServer appliance settings. It begins the ZEN load, goes to the point where it scrubs RAM and then immediately goes to kernel panic screen with "Swapper tainted" Then it reboots and starts over and will run forever in this loop. Please see screenshot attached.
So far the only setting that has made any difference was to check the "Enable EFI" box. when I select this option, the VMServer appliance starts up to the UEFI Interactive Shell v2.0 UEFI v2.31 rev 1.02. I do not know what to do next when presented with this option.
I have tried searching the web, searching these forums and have spent may hours trying every possible combination. I have done my homework and am now falling back to this lifeline. The log to me doesn't show an obvious error to me. Perhaps you will see something abnormal. Please lend an assist if you can. When I get to the kernel selector screen, is there anything I can do to set additional logging?
Thanks!
Ted

Re: Please Help Debug Startup OVMServer3.2.4
You have a page_fault error, that mines that you have to change your virtual memory to Windows administration on your Windows 8.
