Hi all

I have a really weird problem with VirtualBox under KDE. First to make clear - it runs flawlessly under plain Xorg, Gnome2 or Xfce, even when logging in through KDM.

The problem consists solely with KDE:
- when I start VirtualBox from a terminal inside KDE as a normal user I get a segmentation fault
- when I try starting it as root I get:

No protocol specified
Failed to open the X11 display!

I also tried playing with the DISPLAY var. Standard value is :0, setting it to :0.0 or :1.0 didn't help either. The value of DISPLAY under Xfce is also :0 - hence no difference to KDE. Maybe KDE uses another var for elaborating and finding screens ... And what could this protocol mean?

Any clues?
