Printer not 'remembered'

I'm sure the answer must be here if only I could find it, I would be grateful if someone could point me.

Running WindowsXP on OSX 10.8.5

We use a very old accounting program that will only work with certain printers. One of its quirks is it won't print to any printer via bonjour or airport. It will however print if the printer is physically connected and installed in print manager. The problem is that everytime windows starts it 'finds' the printer again and wants to do a new install. I'm at the hair tearing stage and really would be gratefull on how to fix this. Many thanks.

Sorry, but unless you've configured your VM to use an immutable drive (and hence driver installations are being lost on next boot), then I don't see how this can be a VirtualBox problem. It would be a Windows or printer configuration problem, and you should get support from the printer mfr or a Windows forum.

A VM is just a PC. Like any PC, you can have problems, but that doesn't make then VirtualBox problems.
