Hi everyone,
I am trying to install Ubuntu 12.04 lts on Virtual box on host Mac OsX. I mount the cd/disk to Iso File and I put the boot order of cd/disk to the top of the list. When I first run VirtualBox and the guest OS, i get the error SMBus base address uninitialized. Then, I install Ubuntu 12.04. However, when I reboot Ubuntu for installation, the screen either freezes or brings me back to the Ubuntu installation screen! I'm a grad student, and I'm using Ubuntu for a class and it is very important that I get Ubuntu up and running for my grades! Please help, I beg you!
Thank you very much,
Rob.

Have you removed the .iso file from the DVD drive? Just like a physical machine, the vm will boot from the DVD if there is one in the drive and "boot from CD/DVD" is the first option.
