Hello.
I am having a very frustrating issue. I am trying to create a lab to practice ethical hacking using Metasploit2 and Kali Linux in a Windows 7 hosted environment using the latest version of Virtual-Box. I have all the extension packs installed and when I have my USB Wireless device selected in my setup, the second I launch any type of guest OS, Windows looses contact with my USB wireless and it disappears. The second I unchecked the USB wireless in my settings, windows recognizes my adapter and restarts it. I have removed all third party software like McAfee and VM-Ware and uninstalled and re-installed Virtual-box but the issue still continues.
Can someone please help me figure this out. I have to be able to set up this virtual lab and would very much appreciate any assistance someone could provide to me.

Re: USB Wireless Adapter Disappears When Launching Guest OS
The fact that a USB device disapear from the host and appear in the guest means that you have a USB filter configured on that VM. Is this your intention?
If not, go into the USB section of the VM settings and remove the entry for your USB wireless.
