Aborted Fedora VM on Windows 7 host

Post by gregpost »

It goes through all the installation steps but after trying to install Fedora to the VDI that I created it fails. From within the Fedora VM I used Fedora's feature of using the .iso image to install Fedora on a hard drive and selected the VDI I created in Virtual Box. Windows gives an error message at the last step after everything looks like it copied that VirtualBox is not responsive and searches for a problem and then Virtual Box 4.2.18 shows the Fedora VM as aborted.

What happends if you remove the ISO from the VM and start it normally?

Under storage, Controller: IDE I already removed the attachment. The VDI is shown, is dynamically allocated and is 2.29gb actual size with a virtual size of 8.00gb. When I start the VM, Fedora loads GRUB, I get to the setup screen in Fedora, create a user account, press next and it always fails.

Could you give us the exact error message, with a screenshot if possible?

I installed this VM on a Mac system with better hardware specs. I no longer need help figuring this out.

Thanks.
