Some questions about VirtualBox

I had tried VirtualBox (install Mac OS X) several years ago but I didn't study it deep enough. This time I suddenly want to play with it again but I wish to clarify something before I start. Here are some questions:

1. I wish to install Mac OS X in VB again. Will VB save my changes / settings / modifications? For example, the appearance changes, new program installations. I mean next time I open VB and select the ISO file to get into the virtual machine, will it resume the changes I did?

2. Can I install programs in the virtual OS? Like installing Office for Mac inside Mac OS X in VirtualBox. And again, will it appears next time I open the OS?

3. Will the changes / settings / modifications I did to the OS in VB affects my actual OS (Windows 7)? Or it will just generate a file, saving all the changes I have done to Mac OS X inside VB?

That's all for now. Thanks in advance.

1) Important notice regarding Mac OS X as Guest.

2) What exactly do you mean "select the ISO file"? If you are going to be booting any guest from a read-only medium such as an ISO, it will be read-only and not saved to the disk.
