Best way to monitor/view multiple VMs at once?

I apologize if this has been covered before but I didn't have any luck searching google or here for answers.
I run 8 VMs on a 64bit W7 host and 5 VMs on a 64bit XP host all running 24/7 and would like to find a better way to watch over them. They are all 800x600 screen size and end up over lapping each other. So when one has a problem or error I can't always tell without pulling up the individual window/VM. Needless to say that's a pain. So what I would like to have is a way to shrink the windows but not the screen resolution on the VMs and not have scroll bars so I can still see the whole VM screen. Does anyone have any ideas?
Yes I know getting more monitors would be the easiest way but I'd like to avoid ending up with a dozen monitors, my electric bill is high enough lol.
