I'm stuck on this issue: two different Macs with Mac OS 10.8.5 host, Windows XP SP3 etc guest on the latest VB. I have a VDI on Mac-1 (XP.vdi) that I want to use on Mac-2. Mac-2 also has a WinXP guest with a VDI (XP2.vdi). Following advice in the forum, I should be able to 1) copy XP.vdi from Mac 1 to Mac 2, 2) 'add' a new machine as a Windows guest on Mac 2 and point it to the just moved XP.vdi from Mac 1, and have myself another VM. But when I try that I get a message that the UUIDs of both XP.vdi and XP2.vdi are the same.
I think this is because I might have moved one of the vdi's many moons ago on an older version of VB. But now I really want to use the vdi file from Mac 1 on Mac 2 as it has been configured to do just what I need.
So is there a way to fix this -- somehow change the UUID? Another fix? Or am I s-o-l?
Thanks in advance
