After logging (as in successfully typing my password) in fedora on virtual box, a gray screen appeared without giving me any options to do anything!
I try reinstalling fedora and still gives me the same result!
Version of fedora is 19.
version of debian is 4.2.18.0 (i believe, as it says updates are current)

Re: Loggin issues! Gray fedora screen!
Did you enable 3D acceleration in the display section of the guest settings?
This will also require you to install the gust additions (in the guest)

Re: Loggin issues! Gray fedora screen!
3d acceleration was disabled at first but made no difference when i enabled it.
While running fedora i clicked on "devices" then "install guest additions" and nothing pops up so i continued to click install at the same gray screen and it told me it was unable to mount. Also, is it correctly installed from the attachment photo?

The ISO of the additions has been inserted into the Drive, now it's up to you to run the installer within the guest.

Re: Loggin issues! Gray fedora screen!
The mount given from the link you gave me was /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom but it tells me that the mount point doesnt exists so i mounted it in /dev/sda1 /media. Then i click install guest addition and enter the "sh ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run" and other two options but it can't locate them. I did these commands in the virtual terminal for there's no way i could access the regular one because the gnome desktop or the blue screen didn't show. About a week or two ago it did show the gnome desktop while in guest mode, not guest addition, but somehow it doesn't now. I tried reinstalling virtualbox and fedora many times... Plus im not sure its because of the guest additions that causes it not to display gnome.
Also i got Debian to work in regular guest mode but not fedora...

Addition:
While accessing the virtual terminal trying to install the guest additions after a few minutes, it seemed like the blue screen, with arrows, temporarily display for a few secs because i got "locked" out for not accessing gnome desktop and it prompted me to loggin again. Then when i log in and try to access the virtual terminal it turns black, giving me no access so i had to exit fedora and run it again... Repeated cycle..

Re: Loggin issues! Gray fedora screen!
If the mount point does not exist you need to create it. Using the mount you chose will not mount the CD/DVD because it is a designated hard drive. The mount given from the link you gave me was /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom but it tells me that the mount point doesnt exists so i mounted it in /dev/sda1 /media.
Either use mount /dev/sr0 /media or create the /media/cdrom and use mount /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom
