After starting VM, all rec. points on 7 are deleted. Any idea, is this normal ?
I only know this from windows dual boots systems, where I can prevent this by a change in registry.

Re: VM Box destroys recovery points on Win 7
There's no mechanism in VirtualBox which I can think of which would destroy restore points but leave other (later) VM disk changes intact. Restore points are a feature of the guest software which VBox knows nothing about.
Using an immutable drive would mean that all drive changes are discarded on next boot.
Inexpert fiddling with the drive (e.g. unmounting and mounting), in a VM which uses snapshots could cause data loss, not restricted to restore points. Likewise reverting to an earlier snapshot state.
If non of these apply then I would look to what you might be doing within Win7.
VirtualBox does not use the Windows Registry. VirtualBox's own File|Virtual Media Manager can be used to toggle the "Immutable" feature of a drive (right click drive and select Modify...).
