I have a Gnome 3 archlinux 64-bit guest running on win7 64-bit which works fine with one monitor but if i try to use 2 monitors it crashes at the login screen and the VM state changes to 'Aborted'. If i start to the console and use startx it starts x cloned but works fine and i can use xrandr to fix them up.
Am i doing something retarded or is something weird happening?
EDIT: full logs attached (the dual monitor one does stop abruptly like that)

Re: Gnome3 + dual monitors = crash
Where does the VirtualBox install come from?
If you post a guest log you need to post the entire guest log ( as an attachment )

Re: Gnome3 + dual monitors = crash
I'm using the Puel 4.2.18 with the arch package virtualbox-guest-modules 4.2.18-6 which i assume they compile from the ose.

Re: Gnome3 + dual monitors = crash
I see where you are mixing the OSE guest additions with the official release version of VirtualBox. This will usually cause issues. I have not installed Arch in a while but the Linuxadditions-64 that comes with the install used to work. I would try first by removing the OSE guest additions and see if installing the ones from VirtualBox work.
If you must use the Arch guest additions you would need to ask them for help.

Re: Gnome3 + dual monitors = crash
I guess i figured the only difference was licencing, looks like i was wrong. I'll give the supplied guest additions a go. I think i stopped using them because the install script didn't put the right symlinks in, but that was a while ago.
