I had a user starting their virtual windows 7 machine and got the following error: "the user profile service failed the logon user profile cannot be loaded." instead of power the vm down with the shutdown command they just quit virtual box, when the dialog box came up asking what you 'want to do" the selected save the machine state. now we cannot get back into the windows7 vm. How can we get back into the vm?

The VM is launching ok, otherwise you would get a VBox error, not a Windows one. Presumably this problem is record in the saved state, hence I woudl try shutting the VM down properly (Ctrl-Alt-Del and select shutdown).

If the Windows problem persists then it will need to dealt with the same way you would with a physical PC which had the same problem. Unfortunately I can't tell you what that is - Microsoft would be the people to ask.
