Windows Vista Host > CentOs Guest
I have a shared folder 'sites' .
If I place a file in the sites folder on the desktop, it instantly appears in centos, amazing!
If I place a file in the sites folder on centos, it does NOT appear in vista, not so amazing!
I am not sure if this is how it is meant to work, or if there is an error or if I have to change a setting or what.
thanks
Shared Folder Sync

Re: Shared Folder Sync
It could be that the file is there, but Vista hasn't recognized it yet. I've seen such happen sometimes in XP and 7. If you refresh the Vista window, does the new file appear?

Re: Shared Folder Sync
Thanks for the suggestion scottgus1.
Refreshing did not make a difference. I manually copied the Host share folder, deleted the share then set it up again from scratch. This did not seem to work at all so I checked the default mount in /media and that was working (sharing files back AND forth) which was cool. Then I went back to the folder in the directory I really want shared and it had synchronized! So, in short now it is working, sharing back and forth as I hoped, success! It is almost as if browsing directly to the mount and editing a txt file in there encouraged it to sync up. I will watch and post back over to confirm it is consistently working. I the meantime if andone could provide a command to sync up, such as: wakeywakeysyncnow then please do!
