Different experience with 8.1 Eval

Hi,
I had no problems installing the Windows 8.1 in a Virtualbox setting, It just will not start or run. My machine Is made of these parts. Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Motherboard, Intel I7 Processor (2700K), AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB of Ram, 16 Gigs on the board for the system,crucial SSD Hard drive. Those are the basic specs of the machine. When i load the VM my ram usage jumps from 1.75 to 5.30 Gigs. 8.1 usually just sits there not loading at all. Just that damned fish staring at me. any clues out there, or is it just stay away from Win.8?
