So... I've had parallels for a while, and too many problems with it so need to change. I'm trying to install windows 7 (with valid product key) from an iso file but I honestly don't see WHERE i can do that. There's no wizard, no tutorial - nada.
Any help? Please? I"m pretty desperate by now.

- Start VirtualBox
- Left-hand Menu Bar (VirtualBox . . .)
- Machine
- New
Also, try the User Guide
http://www.virtualbox.org/manual/UserManual.html if using
Help --> Contents... is too much
Best of Luck!

Heya,
Believe it or not I have tried that. There's a first time install/run wizard that's suppose to start after you create the machine and run it the first time, so you can select the source of operating program - well, it DOESN't. I know many ppl don't read things and ask questions, but that's no reason not to help me out. I have been searching for the past 2 hours, created 2 machines, and came up with zilch. My machine doesn't have a system operating and I don't see a link to add it anywhere.
Any further info? Please?

If when creating the new guest, you change any settings before you start it the first time the wizard will not run. This is because changing any settings indicates you know what to do. In this case you manually add the install media to the virtual CD/DVD in the storage section of the guest, and then start the guest so it boots to your install media.
