I am setting up my VM and am curious if anyone knows about installing Windows 7 without the disc.
I had vista, then upgraded to windows 7 on my PC...I have none of the discs and am only able to download the .iso file from the previous purchases section of the Microsoft store. This iso described as the Windows 7 upgrade.
Can I use this .iso file to install windows to my VM?
Thanks!
Host computer is an iMac OSX 10.8.4 Intel Core i5

Typically with an upgrade ISO it expects to see a previous version of Windows already installed on the (virtual) hard disk, or it will prompt you at some point to insert the setup CD for the previous Windows version - as proof.
