machine stops responding after awhile

I have virtualbox machine that I need to run 24/7 without suspending.
currently the machine stops to respond after awhile, I dont know if its windows or Virtual Box itself.
any ideas

OK,
I have windows 7 32bit and Virtualbox 4.2 installed .
I have Mikrotik OS as virtualbox machine. I keep the machine running and minimized.
the problem is after lets say 20 mins the clients cannot reach the resources, but with maximize the machine (you see black window only)and press any key so the machine returns active,Wow everything works great.
I hope its clear now
I forgot to mention I've tried another version of virtualbox and 64bit win7, still the same

From the sounds of it your guest is using a screen saver or other form of power management. Turn it off.
If this does not help then you will need to post the guests log file (as an attachment) See the link I sent you.
