No 64-Bit Processor All Of A Sudden

Post by SteveG8515 »

Good afternoon everyone.

I have been running a server 2012 essentials VM for months with no problem. All of a sudden however, the VM will not boot. I am getting a Windows error: This 64-bit application couldn't load because your PC doesn't have a 64-bit processor.

I am more than confident that it is a 64-bit processor as I have run Win7 x64 and the current host OS is Win8 x64.

Thoughts and advice would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Steve

Usual reason: you installed Hyper-V, which grabs VT-x for its own use.
