Why such a Fred Flintstone Version?

Its better to try a moden Distribution like Suse 10.3 oder Fedora 8. Having Problems with this many people can help you.

I'm in the same boat...

Host: Fedora 8, VBox 1.5.6

I'm trying to install both RHL 6.2 and 7 and they keep crashing at various points during install. This is just a pet project of mine. Of course we all know there are newer versions of linux out there but what fun is that?

I am having the same problem during install of redhat 6.2 and 7.0. redhat 7.3 installed no problems.

The problem occurs at the start of copying files to the hard disk.

I have the same problem with installing Redhat 7 too, both installation processes seem to bail when they get to installing glibc.

Yes I know this issue. I opened several bugs on this topic...

You can workaround it by using hardware virtualization (VT-x)

The only problem with Red Hat Linux 6.2 is I couldn't find the right video driver for VirtualBox 4.0, so I gave up and delete Red Hat Linux 6.2. :(
