Hey Everyone,

I just installed Virtualbox yesterday and re installed the new viersion(4.2.18) today but my issue was occurring before the new virsion as well. I am using a Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 and have a Windows 7 Professional on my VirtualBox. I have not been able to successfully connect to the internet and I have been trying for hours now. I am able to connect perfectly fine on my OSX host (hence why I am able to even write this to you all). I have also tried reading about similar issues and it still has not helped me. When I turn on windows 7 guest, the little box on the bottom right that lets me know if I am connected to the interent has an "x" on it. Also when I trouble shoot, it tells me to install driver for my network adaptor.

Here Is what I have tried so far

Enable Network Adapter: Checked
Attached to: I have tried both NAT and Bridge Adapter with no success
Name: When on NAT I am not able to select a name but when I am on Bridge Adapter I have tried Airport for wireless connectivity and Ethernet for wired connectivity with no success for both.

Under Advanced Settings:

Adapter Type: I have tried both PCnet-PCI II and FAST III with no sucesss
Promiscuous Mode: I have tried None, Allow all, and Allow VM with no sucess
Mac Address: seems to be fine
Cable Connected: Checked

If anyone is able to help I would greatly appreciate it. As for the driver, I am not sure what it wants me to install. I have installed the expansion pack for Virtualbox but it did not help.
