------------------------------------------------
I originally installed guest additions without direct3D support. And the software VBoxGuestAdditions not install on my Windows 7.
How can I fix this?

The guest operating system that I use is the Damn Small Linux.

I installed the latest version of VirtualBox.
I am the administrator account on my computer.

Please!

You say DSL is the guest, so why are you posting in the Windows Guests forum and talking about the Win7 GAs?

Guest Additions, as the name implies, are installed in the guest and not in the host. You should be installing Linux additions in your Linux guest - see the user manual chapter 4 for instructions. Note however that DSL is not an officially supported distro - i.e. the GAs may still work, but little attention will be paid if they don't. I suggest you Google for tips on getting DSL to work at its best in VirtualBox.

Just in case this is a terminology problem:
The host is your physical PC.
The host OS is the OS running on your physical PC.
The VM is your guest PC.
The guest OS is the OS running on your guest PC.

Please confirm that DSL is your guest OS and I'll move this topic to "Linux Guests".

I'm sorry! I posted here not knowing. I am Brazilian and I understand very little English! I'm using 'Google Translate'.

And thank you for your information!

Yes, I confirm that DSL is my guest OS. You can move this topic to "Linux Guests".

Thanks, mpack!

Topic moved to "Linux Guests".

No problem with your lack of English, I can assure you that my Portuguese is worse.

If you have trouble reading the VirtualBox user manual PDF (bundled with the software), then perhaps you'll have better luck with the html version here. Unfortunately Google translate will not translate entire web pages if they use "https" security, but you can still highlight and translate selected text - in fact I assume you are already doing that to read these forums.
