Question about "closing" vm.

Post by Kiro »

Hi guys,
I have a very simple question. I'm running VirtualBox (4.2.16 r86992) on Windows 7 Professional 64bit (SP1). I run a couple of Ubuntu machines, but when I start 3-4 of them it's getting a little bit messy with all windows open. So is it possible (somehow) to close the window of the vm (of course leaving the program main window open) and to keep the vm working so I could use putty for ssh connection. I guess in this case I will be able also to "save" some RAM :) I tried searching for such topic but without result. Thanks in advance

Start the guests headless.

See chapter 7.1.2 VBoxHeadless, the remote desktop server in you users manual.

Shift click works in all distros. not just Windows.
