Hello All,
OS - OL6
Virtualisation Product - Oracle VM Virutalbox
I wanted to know is it possible to setup connectivity from a guest VM without using the NAT feature of Oracle VM in Host only networking mode?
Basically i want to try and setup NAT on the VM itself leasing addresses from a guess running DHCP server rather than using the built in Oracle VM NAT networking mode.
I have setup up most of the things, but its not working (apparently).
some advice appreciated, happy to share the setup if its possible.
Regards Amit

Re: Connecting to internet from Oracle VM on VirtualBox
"Host only" is intended for talking to the host only (not the internet), hence the name. If that connection could get you onto the internet it would be via the hosts internet connection sharing facility, but you'd have to look beyond these forums to discuss that.
VirtualBox users will typically choose either NAT or Bridged if they want the guest to have Internet access. In the latter case it should be possible to set up the DHCP server address as you like.
