Can not get DVD/CD Drive to work

I can not get my DVD/CD drive to work in VB. I have installed the extension pack but I get an error message that the CD driver is not found.

the drive spins up when the VM starts. But I can not see the host DVD drive in my VB. I also can NOT run any of the virtual virtual drives that I mount. NONE of them are visible when I try to use them.

I assume that's "drive" not "driver". Please give precise error messages. Without that anything I might say would be uninformed speculation.

And why did you think the extension pack was relevant to this? Is it a USB drive?
