ByPass Unkown Device

Host: Windows 7 64 bit
Guest: Windows XP 32bit
Device: Kodak CR 140 scanner (No drivers exist for 64 bit)

I'm getting unkown device for 3 items (2 usb pens & 1 scanner):
When the Virtual Box launches it lets me pick the 2 USB Pens and installs them BUT I cannot get that scanner to get picked up.

Is there anyway to bypass the Unkown Device (as I have drivers for XP 32bit) or does it need to be functional on a Win 7 level in order to work in the instance?
