Hello @,
i'm using a ASUS x64VN.
BIOS setting for VT-d has been enabled, but I'm not able to install x64 guests. The available OS dropdown list do not contain 64bit.
Is VT-d sufficient or do I need definatly VT-x?
Did i forget something here?
Edit: VirtuaBox 4.2.16 installed
Thanks a lot and cheers,
Steve

Re: 64bit guests with VT-d?
You need VT-x to run 64bit guests, and Win8-32bit. VT-d is not useful for anything you are likely to need, but if the CPU supports VT-d then it surely supports VT-x as well - though your BIOS may refer to it in some other way, such as "Virtualization Technology".

Thanks - then its CPU related :/

Make sure also that you don't have any other software already using VT-x, as that too can prevent VBox from being able to use it. I could offer examples except you neglected to mention what host or guest OS's you're using/considering.
