Unable to restore Snapshot

Hi all, I'm having a very frustrating problem with a server and am in dire need of help.
All right, the situation goes like so: I took a snapshot of the virtual server. I then restored an earlier snapshot to try and troubleshoot a problem we were having. Well the earlier snapshot wouldn't boot, so I attempted to just restore the most recent and... it won't let me.
When I try to resture the snapshot, I get an error that goes along the lines of "Failed to restore Snapshot 2 of the virtual machine [computer name]" and "Parent ID (0000000-0000-0000-0000-0000000000) of the medium {path} does not match UUID {long string of characters} of its parent medium stored in the media registry {path}"
When I try to boot off of the current active snapshot, I get an error that litterally says "No Error Info" so currently the machine is non-bootable.
Now... please tell me there is some way to fix this and restore the recent snapshot. Also please don't tell me "Well, you should have..." because I didn't and I don't have a time machine and telling me what I should have done is not helpful and I shouldn't have to say this BUT I post a lot of help threads and this is what I typically get... Anyway, thank you in advance for any helpful replies!
