B9Creatorsoftware: OpenGL Error: GL_INVALID ENUM

Post by Bob_Yeatman »

Hi,
I have tried running the B9Creator software (version 1.53 or v1.55) in a Windows XP and Windows 7 Virtualbox (version 4.1.16 and matching Guest additions). The software installs and runs but when loading a *.STL file the "Importing" progress bar gets to 99% and then crashes with the message "OpenGL Error: GL_INVALID ENUM". I have tried turning the both 2D and 3D acceleration on/off but the software still cannot load a STL (model).

The B9Creator software (versions 1.53 and v1.55) runs correctly in true Windows XP and Windows 7.

You can find the B9Creator at the B9Creator website.

It is a great 3D printer! Just wish the software ran in VirtualBox.

Any ideas about the GL_INVALID ENUM problem when running in Virtualbox?

Thanks,
Robert Yeatman

When you have problems with third party software you need to go to them for support. I don't know how you expect us to know what their error messages mean!

Hi,
Thanks for answering. I understand you do not know what the error means related to this program - I was hoping that you might know of problems with OpenGL in virtualbox. Are there enumerated fields in newer versions of OpenGL that are not included in virtualbox? Have others had similar problems with newer OpenGL programs?
Thanks

Hi,
Can you tell me if Virtualbox supports OpenGL "display-lists"? If not, will the "display-lists" be added in the near future?
Thanks again.
