[Help] HDMI VirtualBox Extended Desktop (Windows XP)

Post by Cesar »

Hello! I would like to help me, do not know if VirtualBox will now function, but if any one can tell me where I can find it? The case is: I read on the internet that you can, extending the desktop, see only the video on another screen, and keep working on my screen, but using Windows 7 can not, supposedly only used in Windows XP, I installed VirtualBox, but my screen as if I had recognized connected to my PC, not the virtual machine, and extends the desktop of my Windows 7, anyone could help?
In short: I want to connect my virtual machine to an external display (via HDMI) and use it as my extended desktop virtual machine
Sorry for the bad English, I speak Spanish and Latin American, I used google translate
Additional info:
HP Probook 4530s
Chipset: Intel HD Graphics 3000
OS host: Windows 7
OS Guest: Windows XP
Thanks for helping

It sounds to me as if you want to watch videos on the second display? I'm sorry, but VMs cannot use actual hardware directly. Of course you can drag the VM window onto the second display, but you could do that with a video player window too, so I don't know what the point would be. Video playback in a VM will be worse than in the host.
