Cannot create host only network

Hi,

Something is very wrong on windows 7.

When I try to create host only, vbox says "failed to create..."

I try to install the driver manually, by adding new hardware, windows says "insufficient system resources" which is certainly not true. Strangely unknown device shows up in device manager.

Any thoughts? I ve searched hundreds of articles for hours and still haven't found a solution.

When I try vboxmanage list hostonlyifs there is nothing printed, so how can I post the log?

Is there any other log I should be looking at?

You're talking about the host? Then which driver were you trying to install manually?

If you've botched the installation then best do it again, this time make sure you have admin rights, and don't exclude any of the optional install features.
