How to fix screen resolution in virtual box running Mac OSX

I am running windows 8 and my laptop with a screen resolution of 1920x1080. I am running mountian loin on virtualbox and the screen resolution is stuck on 1280x1024. How do I fix the screen resolutoin on virtual box?
