seeing my PC from virtual box

Post by PHummel »

I have Virtual Box running. I can get to the internet from within the client just fine but I can't see my PC when I click on the network Icon. I can't see my printers on my host PC. I also have 2 other images that are supposed to be on the same domain and work together and yet when I start each one up I can't see any of the others. I am not a domain expert obviously so I'm not sure what settings I have wrong.

thanks. Peter

By default the adapter used for a new guest will be set to VBox NAT. This connection will not see the host directly. If you want a connection that allows you to network with the host you either switch to Bridged or add a second adapter set to host-only in the guest settings.
