Hi,
I have win 7 with vbox 4.2.12 r84980 and when I try to install guest debian-7.1.0-ia64-netinst.iso it gives error. I have enabled vm acceleration setting in bios. I have attached logs.
The end section of logs shows as below. log file is too large for attachment so am attaching zip version:

Re: debian-7.1.0-ia64-netinst.iso guest install fails
Hmm. That's a new one on me, but it looks memory related to me. Basically I'd translate as "can't reserve enough physical RAM pages to create VM".VBox.log wrote: 00:00:04.410511 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now looking at how much RAM you have on your host...
So, your host has 1100MB free, and the top two items for the VM requires around 800MB. I would regard those numbers as dangerously close. You clearly were aware of RAM restrictions, otherwise I assume you would have tried more than 768MB for a 64bit guest OS.VBox.log wrote: 00:00:01.175070 Host RAM: 3170MB total, 1107MB available
