Logitech webcam problems in Ubuntu guest

Post by diamond_D »

I'm trying to get my Logitech C920 webcam working in my Ubuntu 12.04 LTS guest VM

My setup:
Virtualbox 4.2.16
Host OS: Windows 7 x64
Guest OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

No luck so far
In my Skype options I see my model of Camera under "Select Webcam" as HD Pro Webcam C920 (/dev/video0) but the preview box is black.

I tried running gstreamer-properties to run a test but get the following error message:
gstreamer-properties-Message: Error running pipeline 'Video for Linux 2 (v4l2)': Error starting streaming on device '/dev/video0'. [gstv4l2object.c(2230): gst_v4l2_object_start_streaming (): /GstPipeline:pipeline0/GstV4l2Src:v4l2src1:
system error: No space left on device]
Any ideas?

I tried installing the extension pack for the USB 2.0 EHCI controller and also adding the USB device filter. Still no luck
