PROBLEM to Create VM Windows 2008 (64 Bits)

Post by lperezj »

Hi,

I have Windows 8 Enterprise with 8 Gb and 64 bits system.
All options of virtualizacion activated in BIOS.

When I open a Virtual Machine, the list of SO available only show 32 bits. No show the 64 bits and i can't selected Windows 2008 (64 bits).
[View Capture File]

If create a Windows 2008, when start the VM throw a error becouse the system is 64 bits and the VM not.

What happen?
How choice in list the 64 bits option?

VirtualBox only offers 64bit templates if your host has a 64bit capable CPU which also supports VT-x. If you are certain that is the case then make sure VT-x is enabled in your hosts BIOS, and not already in use by another VM application (e.g. Hyper-v).

If you need to discuss this further then post a VM log file for a sample VM. For details see Minimum information needed for assistance.
